What Are Anti-Aging Injections?
Anti-Ageing injections are injectable solutions used in cosmetic treatments to prevent or slow down the effects of ageing. They work by promoting skin health and rejuvenation. They supplement nutrients to the skin that may decrease because of ageing.
When you use these injectables, you will notice a reduction in wrinkles and skin dehydration, as your skin will plump up.
According to The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, there were 4 million injectable treatments done just amongst its members in the year 2019 in the US alone.

Common Misunderstandings
There are a few misunderstandings when it comes to anti-aging injections.

What is Profhilo?
An anti-ageing injection makes your skin firm and hydrated by increasing collagen and elastin production around your skin.
Profhilo is made up mainly of hyaluronic acid. Our bodies naturally produce this acid. Its primary function is to keep the skin hydrated and produce collagen. However, as you grow old, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases.
And because of that, the amount of collagen and elastin also decreases.
Collagen and elastin are an essential part of your skin’s structure, which is why you start to get more wrinkles, and your skin begins to sag when you grow older.
How does Profhilo work?
The doctor will first apply a numbing cream to your face.
Injecting Profhilo requires the bio aesthetic point (BAP) technique. Which only has 10 injections points on your face. The doctor will mark these points and start injecting.
Once injected, Profhilo will spread very quickly under your skin and immediately hydrate all the cells.
The hydration and increased collagen productions cause your skin to go through bio-remodelling. Your skin regains its youthful appearance.
When Can I Expect Results?
You should be able to see full results within 4-6 weeks. It takes time for collagen and elastin production to be visible. You will notice a visible reduction in the number of wrinkles and firming of your sagging skin.
In the meantime, you will notice that your skin will feel softer and younger. You will need to go for a second session to produce better results.
It would be best if you headed in to do maintenance injections every 6-9 months to stay ahead of the ageing process.
What Is Rejuran Healer?Â
Rejuran is an injectable that focuses on skin repair and skin rejuvenation. It does this by causing cell growth and collagen formation in the skin.
However unlike, Profhilo, it does not help increase your elastin production.
Polynucleotides, the main ingredient in Rejuran Healer, is made from salmon DNA.
Polynucleotides help you gain a more youthful skin by initiating your skin’s natural tissue repair systems. Typically you will also notice a reduction in acne scars and large pores as an effect of your skin repair.
Clinical studies have shown that Salmon DNA is highly compatible with our skin. That is why our skin can trigger its healing properties with little to no side effects.
How does Rejuran Healer work?
Rejuran Healer can be injected via an injection gun or by manual injections with a very fine needle. The injection method will depend on your skin condition. To reduce the discomfort from the needle, numbing cream will be applied before the procedure.
When Can I Expect Results?
Your skin will be softer and more hydrated within the first week. Pore and acne scars will start to disappear.
You will see more improvements in the next month. Your skin will look healthier and more glowing.
For most cases, we advise you to go for at least 4 sessions, each 3 weeks apart, to get the best out of Rejuran Healer.

What Is Recovery Like For Both Injections?
Both have zero downtime. You can go about your daily activities as soon as your treatment is over.
Swelling and bruising may appear at injection sites. It will last for 1-2 days.
Are There Any Side Effects?
The only side effects are swelling and bruising at injection areas. These will disappear within 1-2 days.
Both injections are very safe as they use ingredients that are natural and very compatible with our bodies.
Which One Is More Suitable For Me?
Profhilo is generally for skin hydration and bio-remodelling and is usually for someone above 30 as the skin starts to show aging signs and dehydration.
Rejuran Healer works better for those in their 20s where it improves skin texture by minimizing pores and acne scars. It is also great for those who have dry skin and skin conditions such as eczema.
Keep in mind that neither of these injections will change your facial features.
